Our newest city area is continuing to grow and approximately 2,000 homes will be built at Västra Eriksberg. Of these, Bostadsbolaget plans to build 380 apartments in the area beside the old slipway (in Swedish the word for slipway is stapelbädden, hence the name of the area – Stapelbädden). There will be three blocks with three large courtyards opening out as terraces facing the river.
In the first phase, 121 apartments will be built for rent on the Segelmakaren block, which is the block located closest to the quay. Tenants will begin moving in during December 2007 and all the apartments will be occupied by 2008.
